BA (HONS) CONFERENCE & EXHIBITIONS MANAGEMENT - L6 TOP UP
You will build on your previous learning and experience in the practical aspects of delivering conferences and exhibitions.
If they are to succeed, conferences and exhibitions need to continually improve, developing creative and innovative applications that meet the changing needs of the external environment. This course will enable you to build a complete and thorough view of the industry, taking you through the processes of procurement of goods from suppliers, working collaboratively with stakeholders and understanding and applying the factors that make conferences and exhibitions successful.
You may have the opportunity to meet and talk to many successful conference and exhibition producers and suppliers, many of whom are leading the field with new types of events and innovative developments.
You will be prepared for many events roles, as you will have the breadth of subject knowledge required to work in this fast-paced sector. You could go on to work for private companies, government or build your own business. Conference and event management has a great future, and you will be part of it through studying this course.

Fee Information
Our University's Board of Governors has agreed to set fees at £8,500 for full-time undergraduates starting in 2012.
There are no upfront fees for students. You will only start repaying tuition fees after you have graduated and once you are earning £21,000 or more. We also know that the repayments will be fixed at 9% of salary above £21,000. Therefore for someone earning £30,000 after graduation the repayment would be £67.50 per month.

National Scholarship Programme
If your household income is less than £25,000 a year you may be able to find help through the new £150m National
Scholarship Programme. This is a scheme that is being introduced to help people from low income families wanting
to go to university in 2012. The government has set national eligibility criteria based on household income, and
each university has designed its own scholarship scheme with extra criteria.

The total cost of a Part-time course is determined by the number of modules you take in an academic year. Modules are made up of credit-points, and Part-time fees are typically quoted as fee-per-credit-point.
To calculate the typical cost of study: Fee-per-credit-point (e.g £28.88) x credit-points per module (e.g20) = module cost of £577.6. If you study 4 modules in a year the cost would be £2310.4 for that year.

A scholarship of £1,500 is offered to all new full-time overseas fee paying students joining the first year of a course in 2012-13. The international scholarship is awarded in the first year of study only. Please note that students joining a programme part way through or joining a dedicated top-up course are not eligible for this scholarship. Only students paying the full 2012-13 overseas fee are eligible for this scholarship.
Equivalent or Lower Qualification (ELQ) Students
Higher fees apply for ELQ students. You may be an ELQ student if you already have a BA/BSc and want to enrol on another
Bachelors level course; if you already have an MA/MSc and want to enrol on a Bachelors level course OR if you already
have an MA/MSc and want to enrol on another taught Masters level course.

Leeds Metropolitan Bursary
Our Leeds Metropolitan Bursary is open to all full-time undergraduate students who pay annual
tuition fees in full and receive the full Higher Education Maintenance Grant.
Bursaries currently stand at £500 for the first year of study, £800 for the second and £1,000
for the third and subsequent years of study. They are paid in full in February each year.

If you meet the criteria your bursary will be paid automatically, however you must remember to
consent to share your information with us when you make your application.
