The MBA is aimed at graduates looking for a career entry course that will prepare you for international management. Your experience at Leeds Business School will help to develop your managerial style and transform you into a strategic thinker, helping to prepare you for the uncertain global environment which we now face in business. When you leave Leeds Business School you will feel confident in applying and using theory in a practical way, after trialling your concepts on the MBA during the Consultancy Project.

Accounting and Finance for Decision Making
This is designed to introduce you to a range of financial and management accounting concepts and techniques. It aims to develop decision-making skills by applying accounting and financial techniques to assist in managerial control and planning.
Consultancy Project
You will gain direct organisational experience by applying your learning to a strategic issue within a real organisation. Working as part of a team of consultants, you will explore an issue facing an organisation and will devise practical recommendations for implementation. This offers you the opportunity to explore further, in a live setting, an aspect or area of your studies that has attracted special interest.
Contemporary Marketing
This seeks to provide students with the contemporary marketing knowledge and skills required for being a professional in the competitive digital world of the 21st century.
Organising and Managing for Performance
This aims to enable students to analyse and understand a broad range of organisational issues including the contribution organisational culture and structure make to business success and the link between motivation theories and management practices.
Strategic Marketing Management
This aims to critical understanding of the main theories, techniques and debates which inform contemporary approaches to strategy. The module also aims to provide opportunities to interrogate the relevance of models and analytical techniques.

The programme's assessment strategy provides you with the opportunity to be assessed across a wide range of methods, including assignments, presentations, group works and examinations. The greater part of this will work will directly relate to real business scenarios and, where possible, will be applied to practice.

Our MBA has been accredited via a number of additional awards by the Chartered Institute of Management (CMI). This means that students who undertake the MBA programme have the option to gain up to three additional CMI qualifications: Level 7 Diploma Strategic & Leadership, Level 8 Certificate Strategic Direction & Leadership, Diploma in Management Consultancy.

In addition, Leeds Metropolitan University has a number of international strategic partners in venues such as Hong Kong, Hangzhou, Shanghai, Bhopal, Mauritius, Vietnam and Namibia, amongst others.

The fee shown here is the 'gross' fee for new students starting in the 2012/13 academic year, before the application of any scholarship or discount. A scholarship of £1,500 is available to new full-time students studying an MA, MSC or MBA (180 credits) who are eligible to pay Home/EU fees. For students studying for an award such as a Postgraduate Diploma (120 credits), Postgraduate Certificate (60 credits), or part-time, a pro rata scholarship is available. The total cost of a Part-time course is determined by the number of modules you take in an academic year. Modules are made up of credit-points, and Part-time fees are typically quoted as fee-per-credit-point.

To calculate the typical cost of study: Fee-per-credit-point (e.g £69.44) x credit-points per module (e.g20) = module cost of £1388.8. If you study 4 modules in a year the cost would be £5555.2 for that year.
